Large Healthcare System partners with Sigital to gain enterprise-wide visibility and lifecycle control over clinical and IT hardware

 

A Large Healthcare System runs on hardware it can’t afford to lose track of. Across 1.7 million patient encounters a year, clinical devices need to be where clinicians expect them, working, and accounted for. When a device falls out of lifecycle tracking, that’s a gap between a clinician and the tool they need for a patient in front of them.

The client came to Sigital with a deadline. The asset management software the organization relied on was reaching end-of-life in December 2026, and the health system needed a replacement in place before its June fiscal year-end. The existing setup left inconsistent visibility across a hardware estate that spans clinical devices, IT equipment, and a global footprint of Mac systems managed through Jamf, alongside Windows infrastructure managed through SCCM. There was no standardized process for tracking how an asset moved from purchase to deployment to retirement.

The work

 

Sigital implemented ServiceNow HAM Pro as The client’s system of record for physical and clinical hardware. That meant building out hardware models, normalization, and stockroom configurations so every device, whether a patient monitor on a hospital floor or a laptop in an administrative office, lives in one consistent structure. A significant part of the engagement addressed integration problems that predated the project: longstanding sync issues between ServiceNow and SCCM. Sigital resolved those issues so configuration items and asset data reconciled accurately. Sigital also deployed the Service Graph Connector for Jamf, automating discovery and lifecycle tracking for The client’s Mac systems in place of manual updates. Beyond the technical build, Sigital delivered an Administrator Run-Book and ran enablement sessions with The client’s team, so the organization could operate and maintain the system on its own once Sigital’s post-go-live support period ended.

What changed for The client

 

Clinical hardware now stays available and accounted for across the health system’s full patient volume, with two automated connectors, SCCM and Jamf, keeping asset data current without manual reconciliation. Inventory reorder triggers activate before stock runs out, so clinical hardware stays available without staff monitoring stock levels by hand.

Asset gaps that used to create delays are reduced, because every employee, from IT to clinical operations, now works from the same accurate system of record.
